The franchise owners of Bluebird Care Taplow, a care at home provider, are helping people get back to work by investing in some environmentally friendly scooters.
Ian and Anne Inglis, franchise owners of Bluebird Care South Bucks and Slough, hope to create 40 new jobs in the area by the end of the year, giving a major boost to the local economy.
During recruitment, Mr and Mrs Inglis became conscious that some first-class job applicants were automatically being ruled-out because they were without personal transport. With the help of their local JobCentre, the couple invested in two scooters, so lack of transport would not result in an automatic ban to being a Bluebird Care worker.
