Checkers Expands With Former Dunkin’ Donuts Franchisee

Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. has plans for five restaurants in Fairfield County, Conn.

The first restaurant is scheduled to open in spring 2011 in Milford.

Checkers signed the multi-unit store development agreement with Kerrim Jivani, previously a Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchisee with eight locations in the New York City area.

Jivani sold his Dunkin’ Brands network in 2009, a news release said.
