Au Bon Pain, a US-based bakery cafe chain, plans to strengthen its presence in India by
opening 100 franchised outlets in the next two years, confirms a company official. The company is targeting to expand its presence across the nation, but its primary focus is to cover the cities of southern India such as Chennai, Hydrabad and so on.
The company entered India in 2009 by launching its first outlet in Bengaluru. It ventured in to India through Spencer’s Retail a venture of RPG Group.
