McDonald’s Gets A Pass From Feds On Health Care Reform

McDonald’s got its wish from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. McDonald’s, Jack in the Box, a Denny’s franchisee in New Mexico, and other 30 companies don’t have to raise their benefits for seasonal, part-time and low-wage employees.

The Wall Street Journal said McDonald’s played hard-ball by threatening to drop health-care for hourly workers if it didn’t get this waiver. McDonald’s denied any such threat.
