Staff Kept On As Opticians Changes Hands

Liz Batchelor is franchisee of Boots Opticians, which is in Duke Street and takes the place of Dollond & Aitchison, which had a shop in the same street.

D&A Opticians merged with the high street chain last year. The new Henley shop is part of a nationwide push by Boots to rebrand in its own name around 200 Dolland & Aitchison shops before Christmas.

Mrs Batchelor said: “The ownership and staff of the practice are the same and we can assure customers that we can give them the same professional and friendly care for all the family. I think you get a more personal service in smaller opticians.”
