The Capital businessmen who brought Subway sandwiches to Edinburgh have been named Franchisee of the Year at The Scottish Asian Business Awards.

Brothers Haj and Narinder Atwal opened their first Subway franchise in Hanover Street in 2000 and now control around 45 stores throughout Scotland.

The pair were also nominated for Business Brothers of the Year, but lost out to Trespass clothing brothers Akmal and Afzal Khushi.
