A Taste Of Woody’s Southern Barbecue – In Canada

Woody’s Bar-B-Q is headed north – way north. The Jacksonville-based company is taking its oak-smoked meats to Canada.

The first one is scheduled to open in British Columbia in April, and contracts have already been signed for seven more.

There’s plenty of barbecue in Canada. But Dan Masters, who owns the rights to sub-franchise Woody’s up there, said there’s a shortage of really good barbecue.

“What there isn’t in Canada is a national Southern barbecue chain,” Masters said.
