From restaurants to cleaning services, companies that have franchise agreements for multiple locations — or plan to — will have a chance to learn about legal compliance at an upcoming event.

Joel Buckberg, a Nashville attorney with Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz, will present on the topic of legal compliance for the franchise industry.

Franchisors who enter into agreements with owners of locations need to understand requirements surrounding disclosure, registration and director and officer liability, Buckberg said in a news release.
