MaMa Rosa’s Under New Ownership

Refrigerated pizza-maker MaMa Rosa’s Pizza is now solely under the ownership of Huntsman Gay Global Capital.

According to the Kansas City Business Journal, several Kansas City-area private equity firms sold to the Palo Alto, Calif., private equity firm that claimed to have used “its debut $1.1 billion fund to buy the company.” Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MaMa Rosa’s, founded in 1979 and based in Sidney, Ohio, sells more than 3 million cases of pizzas a year to more than 10,000 stores in the United States and Mexico. Its other brands include Mama Angelina’s, Our Old Italian and Lean Lifestyle.
