Mellow Mushroom Opens Monday

Mellow Mushroom opens for business on Monday morning, but don’t expect a standard ribbon-cutting.

At 9:30 a.m., the restaurant on North McPherson Church Road will hold a pizza-cutting ceremony to mark its first day. The store officially will open at 11 a.m. to serve pizzas, calzones and sandwiches.

This is the first Mellow Mushroom, an Atlanta-based chain, for Capital Food Group of Raleigh. The franchisee is planning to open another Mellow Mushroom in Greenville early next year and in Jacksonville in early 2013.
