Patch.com:

Buy donuts this week at area Dunkin Donuts, and $1 will go to help the MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston.

Coastal Franchising, owner of Dunkin’ Donuts franchises throughout the region, announced recently that it has been awarded a grant from the Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation for programs at the hospital.

Coastal locations are raising money to match and add to the grant through a “Cups for Kids” effort, according to a company news release. The stores are selling cut-out paper cups for a $1. Donors write their names or message on the cup, which is placed on a wall or window in the store.

Stores also are donating a $1 when customers purchase a dozen donuts or 50-count of Munchkin donut hole treats.
