Jersey Mike‘s Founder & CEO Peter Cancro, along with team members and franchisees, laid wreaths for the fallen at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., as part of a National Day of Remembrance on Dec. 10.

With the help of its customers, Jersey Mike’s raised $100,000 for Wreaths Across America (WAA), a nonprofit organization created to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington. In just over an hour, 90,000 wreaths were placed throughout the cemetery.

Also during the event, Jersey Mike’s received a special honor as Cancro and Retired Air Force Master Sergeant and North Carolina-based franchise owner Joseph Minyon placed wreaths on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
