Florham Park Eatery A ‘Smash’ In More Ways Than One

As Scott Gillman tells it, three years ago he predicted Burger chain Smashburger would be primed for a juicy 2012.

His augur was an auspicious one.

Gillman, a well-seasoned restaurant franchisee from Livingston, is the proprietor of all seven Smashburger locations in the state, including the one on Columbia Turnpike.

He’s not stopping there. He plans to open 30 Smashburgers in the Garden State, six this year alone.

The expansion coincides with Forbes Magazine’s recognition of the chain as “America’s Most Promising Company.”
