Still, there are a few spots left, and Ron Weinberg leads the way to a two-seater close to the windows. If thereâ€™s a best table in the house, heâ€™s the one to ask: he owns the place.
Weinberg hasnâ€™t always been in the burger business. â€œI was mostly involved in technology and financial services,â€ he explains. â€œBut the capital market is something youâ€™re not really directly connected to â€“ I always wanted something I would be connected to more, and food was a good direction.â€ Itâ€™s a modest assessment, breezing past the Yale and USC graduateâ€™s past work with Fortune 500 shortlisters like JP Morgan and Bank of America, but itâ€™s also an efficient way to get to the heart of what interests him most in the here and now: burgers.
